Accessibility statement

What we test, how we test it, what we have not tested, and how to tell us when something is in your way.

Where we stand

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This is a self-assessment. We ran the testing described below ourselves and are reporting what it found. No outside party has audited or verified this site, and nothing on this page is a certification or a claim of legal compliance.

What was tested, and when

Last full review: 28 July 2026.

The review covered 30 pages: every standalone page on the site, including the home page, Latest, Whale Watch, Market Pulse and each of its eight boards, Chart Master, the Learn explainers, Archive, and the trust and policy pages. Articles are generated from a single shared template, so two article pages were tested as samples of it rather than all 141 of them. Each page was tested in both the light and dark themes, at 1280px and 375px wide.

That is the whole scope. Pages, themes and widths outside that list were not part of this review.

How it was tested

Automated testing used axe-core 4.12.1 against the rendered pages in a real browser, running the WCAG 2.0 A/AA, WCAG 2.1 A/AA and best-practice rule sets. That automated pass currently reports no violations across the pages, themes and widths listed above.

Automated tools catch a minority of accessibility problems, so the following checks were also performed by hand:

What we have not tested

We have not tested this site with a screen reader or any other assistive technology. No testing with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack, voice control, or switch access has been performed. Passing automated checks and our manual checks is not the same as being usable with those tools, and we are not going to imply otherwise. This is the largest known gap in the review.

We have also not conducted usability testing with disabled users, which is the only method that reliably finds the problems the rest of this page misses.

Known limitations

This site publishes new content automatically, on a schedule, without a human reviewing each page before it goes out. Stories are generated and published several times a day. A new story can introduce an accessibility problem that did not exist at the last review, and it can be live for hours or days before anyone notices. The statement above describes the state of the site at the review date. It is not a guarantee about a page published after it.

The same applies to the data boards, which redraw charts and tables from live market feeds on every build.

Some content is outside our control: embedded material from third parties, and source documents we link to on other organizations' sites, are not covered by this review.

Tell us if something is in your way

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please tell us. You do not need to know why it is broken or what the standard says. Describing what you were trying to do and what happened is enough, and telling us which browser or assistive technology you were using helps us reproduce it.

Email desk@gocheckmycrypto.com. We read every message and aim to reply within five business days. If we can fix the problem we will, and if we cannot fix it quickly we will tell you where it stands and what the alternative is in the meantime.

Reports of specific barriers are the most useful accessibility information we get, more useful than any scan, and they are why this page has an address on it.
