Solid line is price over 90 days; the dashed lines are the 50- and 200-day averages the trend chips refer to. Every chip is defined below; we publish the formulas, never a recommendation.
Posture 101
The Relative Strength Index compares recent gains to recent losses on a 0-100 scale. Above 70 reads as hot (overbought), below 30 as cold (oversold). Extremes often cool off, but a strong trend can stay hot for weeks.
MACD compares a fast moving average to a slow one. When the fast line sits above its signal line, momentum is building; below it, momentum is fading. It shows which way the wind is blowing, not how long it will blow.
The 200-day average is the classic bull/bear line: price above it reads as an uptrend. When the 50-day crosses above the 200-day, that is a golden cross and trend followers take notice. Crossing below is the bearish twin, the death cross.
Distance from the 12-month high says how deep the drawdown is; annualized volatility says how violently price has been moving lately. High volatility cuts both ways: bigger rallies, bigger drops, worse sleep.
No single chip is a verdict. Fear plus a death cross plus building momentum, for example, is a market arguing with itself. The honest read is the full picture, which is why every card shows all of it.
Indicators describe the recent past; none of them predict. We publish them with fixed, standard formulas so you can learn to read them yourself, and we will never turn them into a buy or sell call. That is the deal.
